Design

Brad Kennison personally does all design work and project estimations. My philosophy on design is form preceded  by function. I have great disdain for cookie cutter kitchens. It is rare that even given the smallest area or difficult obstacles to work with that something can't be done creatively to enhance the final outcome. With today's computer software anyone can punch out a kitchen or bathroom design that may look great yet have many hidden flaws that won't become evident until you start using your new kitchen or bath. Some designs have hidden installation pitfalls because the typical designer has never worked in the field. I bring to the design table the experience of being a Massachusetts licensed Construction Supervisor who has successfully completed many kitchens and baths in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. All design work is based on NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) standards.

Showroom

We display both semi custom and full custom cabinetry in our showroom. Featured is cabinetry from Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. and Custom Wood Products.  Our showroom is a registered DuPont Corian Design Center. Housed in our small showroom is one of the most extensive displays of Corian in Western Massachusetts ranging from kitchen and bath tops to thermoformed shower bases. Due to the personal attention given to our clients we ask that visitors call for an appointment prior to stopping by.

Installation & Renovation

We are interior renovation specialists handling a wide array of tasks such a structural modification, window and door replacements, drywall, tiling, hardwood floors, trim work and of course cabinet installation.  All of this work is professionally executed without the use of subcontractors. Some kitchen dealers may say they do their own installation. Ask for a copy of their certificate of insurance proving Liability and Workers Compensation coverage. If the project is done in Massachusetts find out who the licensed Construction Supervisor is along with license number. Both Connecticut and Massachusetts have Home Improvement License laws. Again, get the numbers and verify! Massachusetts last year had a 30% increase in complaints against home improvement contractors, don't become a statistic! Many people don't realize that when you hire someone to work in your home and they become injured, you are responsible if they are not covered by Workers Compensation. The use of unlicensed and uninsured individuals in your home is like spinning the wheel in the casino - how lucky do you feel with the most expensive investment of your life at stake?

Design

I, BRADLEY J. KENNISON, personally handle all design work.  The first step in the process is field measuring and information gathering.  If you have been developing a "Project Folder" with great ideas, if not don't worry I can help utilizing my 25 plus years of experience in design and construction.  I will work closely with you to develop a design that incorporates your desires while at the same time utilizes current NKBA kitchen and bath standards which will assure you of a productive, safe and esthetically pleasing project.  I am a firm believer in creativity and function. We are a design build firm so you have one source of responsibility from design to project completion.  My designs are presented in 11" X 17" perspective view format.  The final presentations include highly detailed quotes with loads of product information.  Every quote package will include a copy of our certificate of insurance showing liability and workers compensation coverage.

Construction

We are interior construction specialists. In the daily course of work we handle, demolition, interior structural modifications and repair, drywall, insulation, cabinet and trim installation, ceramic, porcelain and glass tile installation, and hardwood flooring installations without the use of subcontractors. If rooms we are working on need exterior door or window replacement we also perform this work. All of this allows better-cost control and scheduling as well as superior quality control.
